TCWSE Region 4: Woman Endeavor: Overcoming Adversity in Pursuit of The Dream

I had the privilege of serving as a breakout speaker for the 2026 TCWSE Region 4 Chapter Spring Conference for the session entitled “WOMAN ENDEAVOR: Overcoming Adversity in Pursuit of the Dream.”

Speaking from the perspective of lived experience, I had an opportunity to share with my attendees the beautiful lessons and advantageous knowledge to be gained from the nontraditional leadership journey. As we discussed during our “endeavoring reflections,” aspiring women leaders are more likely to view themselves as unworthy and unprepared for leadership opportunities due to the challenges they face. But this negative perception couldn’t be further from the truth. It is that very adversity that uniquely positions us to not only be prepared to serve as organizational leaders, but allows us to bring alternative perspectives to the tables we serve.
